Important Information About COVID-19

Your travel insurance policy from our provided insurance will cover you against COVID-19, regardless of your location.

If you find yourself unable to return home due to COVID-19 outbreaks and have an existing travel insurance policy from our provided insurance, please reach out to your consultant or contact us to renew your policy. Ensure you act promptly as failing to renew in time may leave you uninsured for subsequent incidents abroad.

If your policy lapses, our provided insurance can issue a new policy. However, please note there’s a 72-hour waiting period before the new policy becomes effective.

Our provided insurance covers medical hospitalization due to COVID-19, as specified in the Schedule of Benefits. Please note that this coverage commences 72 hours post-arrival at your destination and is limited to a maximum of 10 days, specifically for COVID-19-related complications.

Any negative diagnostic test results related to COVID-19 will not be covered under this insurance policy.

Should you require hospitalization due to COVID-19, our provided insurance will cover necessary evacuation or repatriation to your country of residence, up to the specified limit in the Schedule of Benefits.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Just as health or car insurance offers peace of mind, travel insurance is equally crucial. It covers expenses related to trip cancellations, interruptions, and offers added benefits like protection for baggage, medical emergencies, and dental fees, all within the policy’s agreed-upon limits.

While travel insurance provides coverage for many expenses, there are limitations. Not all costs, such as payments for certain cruises, tours, or airline tickets, are refundable. It’s essential to consult with your travel agent to understand which payments fall under non-refundable categories, as policies can vary.

Travel insurance can cover various emergencies, including but not limited to:

  • Flight Cancellation
  • Trip Cancellation
  • Trip Interruption
  • Medical Emergencies
  • Dental Coverage
  • Lost/Delayed Baggage, and more.

However, coverage specifics can vary depending on the policy. Always refer to your chosen policy’s terms and conditions.

Recommendations for International Travelers

  • Travelers who are unwell are advised to postpone or avoid travel to affected regions, particularly elderly individuals and those with underlying health conditions.
  • Maintain personal hygiene, cough etiquette, and maintain a distance of at least one meter from symptomatic individuals. Specific recommendations include:
    • Frequently perform hand hygiene with soap and water or alcohol-based hand rubs.
    • Cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing, disposing of tissues immediately and practicing hand hygiene.
    • Avoid touching your face with unwashed hands.
    • While masks are not mandatory for asymptomatic individuals, follow best practices if choosing to wear one, especially in cultures where it’s customary.
  • Travelers returning from affected areas should self-monitor for symptoms for 14 days, adhere to national protocols of receiving countries, and seek medical attention if symptoms develop.
